Beginners
Astrology is about reading the geometry between the planets. Check out the chart of the day to see the pattern in the sky today. Remember, red lines are challenges and blue lines are harmony. Well, we have a Grand Square in the sky now. But this is a short-lived square because the Moon is part of it and will be gone by tomorrow. It’s a lot of energy for a this morning. The Grand Square today has some exact aspects within it. Retrograding Mercury is conjunct the North Node today. That should be wonderful for new ideas, especially for writing or publishing. The Sun is also square Mars today too. With all the mental energy today and a Mars square, people could feel impatient and anxious. Let’s all take it easy and breathe before we lash out without thinking.

Beginners
Last night I was had dinner with my friend, Leslie. She lives in the foothills and has an amazing view of the huge Tucson sky. It was so easy to find the visible planets along the ecliptic. Remember, that is the great highway in the sky where the planets all travel. So here is your homework for tonight: Watch the sunset tonight and then you will see Venus just above and a little to the left of the Sun. Visualize a line drawn in the shape of an arch from the Sun, through Venus then continue on to the Moon and then bright Jupiter towards the east. For the next 3 nights we will see the Moon getting larger and closer to Jupiter until they join on December 6th. I think this is the best planetary show of the month, so enjoy it. Venus joins Pluto today for an exact conjunction at 6 degrees Capricorn. Those born on December 29th have both of those planets on their Sun, so you will be feeling these transformations more than the rest of us. The Moon also joins Neptune today to give a dreamy quality. There is a storm coming into Tucson and it’s cloudy, windy and rainy right now. Perfect for these transits. I feel like hibernating. Mercury is also retrograding past the North Node today. So is that hibernating with a mind going very fast?

Beginners
It’s real easy to see Venus in the western sky just after sunset now. Last night was a beautiful sunset and viewing of the planets. This is the time of the lunar month that I love the most. The Moon is moving closer to Jupiter and will join it on December 6th. So this a great few days to watch how fast the Moon moves against the backdrop of the stars. Go out the same time each night and see how far the Moon has moved. Word of the day….Beauty.

Venus is quickly approaching Pluto and they will conjunct exactly tomorrow. I think the time when the faster planet nears the slower planet is the most powerful. After the conjunction, it diminishes right away. So this is the time to feel the power, beauty and passion of those two amazing planets. It also helps that they are both trining Mars and Jupiter. This might be an important day for international finances.

The Moon has moved into the sign of Aquarius today and will be there for the next couple of days. Aquarius is the sign of the unusual. See if you can do something you have never done before, just to have a new experience. We also have a joining of Venus and Pluto for the next couple of days too. That is a perfect set up for focus in a variety of different areas. What are you feeling strong about now? Word of the day….Passion.

Venus and Pluto are at the apex of the almost Grand Trine right now. They are also squaring Uranus at the same time. That is why I had the word of the day as Passion. The North Node has squeezed in between the Sun and Mercury conjunction in Sagittarius. That will be bringing us all new concepts in our thought process. Mars in Virgo will also enhance that new way of being. Very exciting times!

Beginners
We have a complex chart today with lots of red lines. Luckily we still have the wonderful blue Grand Trine to balance it all out. The Moon is in Capricorn, which is perfect for the first day back after a long holiday weekend. Capricorn loves to get to work and accomplish what has been stacking up. Make sure you see the New little sliver Moon right next to beautiful Venus tonight. They are easy to spot just above where the Sun sets in the western sky. Word of the day….Work.

Venus just trined Jupiter yesterday to enhance the already strong Grand Trine between Pluto, Jupiter and Mars. In addition, Saturn is approaching the trine to Neptune in the next few days. Also, Mars is getting close to the square to the Moon’s Nodes, which will help us reorganize the past. Mars is already doing a good job in Virgo starting the organization phase that will last until July 4, 2012. Oh Boy!

Since it’s one of my favorite holidays, I’m not going to blog until Monday. So I want to wish everyone a very thankful Thanksgiving. Of course this holiday is rich with family, friends and good food. But I love giving thanks for our blessings. I have so many blessings and feel very thankful. The astrology for Thanksgiving is pretty unusual. Mercury goes retrograde and there is an Eclipse of the Sun on that very day. I think both of those give a tendency to introspection and giving thanks. Try to spend a little time contemplating your blessings. Word of the day….Thankful.

The current astrology is so fascinating. Here is what’s happening now. The Sun trines Uranus at zero degrees fire signs, which is always good for a kick start. Mars exactly trines Pluto in earth signs to ensure stamina. Mercury goes retrograde at 20 degrees Sag at 12:21 am MST on Thanksgiving. Why not top the day off with a Solar Eclipse? That happens at 11:10 pm MST, so the entire day is a build up to the eclipse. Ok, what does that all mean put together? Sun Uranus…feeling excited and inspired. Earthtrine…determined. Mercury retrograde and the eclipse….inner wisdom. So combine them and it means we are very inspired and determined to move forward because of inner guidance. Happy Thanksgiving!

It was so much fun doing this show. I felt very Sag when I was talking. Love how astrology works like that. Ok, the Moon is joined with Saturn today. The Moon is home and Saturn is work, so that’s a great set up for getting all the details ready for Thanksgiving. Wonderful grouping of planets for baking or being cozy at home. The earth Grand Trine is still with us too, so it’s a great time to be busy and get things done. Word of the day….Preparation.

I’m just getting ready to do my Sagittarius TV Show on The Morning Blend. It all feels very Sag today with a chilly rain and a cloudy day. So fall is fully here now. The Sign of Sagittarius starts tomorrow, Tuesday at 9:08 am, Mountain time. Since Sag is associated with Jupiter, what a great time to make or buy presents for the holiday season. Jupiter is the planet of generosity,so it’s a perfect match. I’ll post the Sag show this afternoon.

Monday is my Sagittarius TV show. So this weekend I’m planning what to wear. Sag loves travel and with my book signing tour recently, I feel quite Sagittarius now. I’m also finishing writing my Sag Newsletter. Both will have surprises. I’m changing the look, the style and the color schemes. Scorpio definitely transformed me and everyone will see just how much, quite soon. I’ve decided to surrender to the transformation. Resistance is futile. We are in the Uranus square Pluto phase and will be for years. This is the start of a major paradigm shift. Word of the day….Change.

Beginners
The Moon is joining Mars today. Often that brings heightened emotions and an intention to move forward. Mars is in Virgo, the fixer, so you might want to start to rearrange your life. This is the beginning of months of reorganization. With Mars turning retrograde in Virgo and being in that sign until July 4, 2012, we will have a great chance to rethink everything. I’m already feeling it and it has just begun. If any of you are early birds, tomorrow morning you can see Mars and the Moon together in the predawn sky. A bit closer to the Sun is Saturn too. So it’s a nice show for us now. Word of the day….Planning.

The Moon is triggering off that awesome earth Grand Trine we have now. So today is a great kick start for the Mars in Virgo phase we have ahead of us. I’m actually looking forward to it. Virgo is one of my favorite placement for Mars. I think Mars likes getting things done and Virgo helps that happen. The Sun will be square Neptune and trine Uranus in the next few days. Tap into your inner knowing and intuition. Exciting times!
